PONY BUSINESS is another branch of the successful equestrian business of the Hanley Family, Claremorris.
Here you will find everything PONY related - tack, training, ponies of all levels for sale etc. etc. Cormac Jnr (1997) has already built a reputation for himself. He qualified and competed in the Under 10 Championships held at the European Pony Championships at Necarne Castle in 2003. He also qualified for the U10 National Championships in 2003 and was the Leading U10 Points rider in his Region in 2004. In June 2004 he went down in the history books of the RDS when, at 7 years of age, he was the youngest show jumper ever to qualify for the Dublin Horse Show. The Hanley/Slattery families were featured on RTE's Nationwide and the pivotal person was Cormac Jnr. for his great achievement. He qualified again for the RDS in 2005 and 2006 and again, on both years he was the youngest competitor at the show. What a year we had last season - Cormac qualified for all major finals (RDS, Millstreet, Cavan, Nat. Championships, Belfast), had a super Home Counties Pony Show at Cavan in July, won a 128AB competition at the National Pony Championships, won a 128AB competition in Millstreet and finished the year in style taking Leading Rider at the Pony Home Owners in Cavan.
It's 2007 and the start of another season and we surely are looking forward to it. ORCHARD EQUESTRIAN and WEATHERBEETA have just announced their interest in sponsoring Cormac and his string of ponies for the 2007 season. We've spent the winter months training and bringing on our young ponies and building up a strong team for this season. We went to Scotland (Rowallan Activity Centre) at the end of March and had a super show bringing home eight rosettes including a 4th place with "Simba Surprise" in the Grand Prix.
