A warm welcome awaits you at Claremorris Equestrian Centre where
we cater for all standards of rider from the complete beginner
to the budding international. School groups, Work groups, bus
tours etc. catered for. Prices are charged per hour for group
or private lessons but we can facilitate your needs, if you
don't fit into the normal routine.
The centre is situated in the heart of the west, one mile from
Claremorris, just off the N17 Galway Road - 30 miles from the
Atlantic Coastline. The River Robe rises to the east of
Claremorris and connects the town with the famous lakes of Carra,
Mask and the Corrib. Claremorris offers all the amenities and
services and modern conveniences you expect from a developing
town - excellent schools, a wide variety of shops, a swimming
pool, an 18 hold championship golf course and much more.
Facilities at the Centre include an indoor area, two all weather
sand managés, and a cross country course giving the rider a
choice of options - a leisurely trek, the excitement of going
cross-country or the drama of a show
jumping course, dressage or just some basic tips on better
horsemanship.
As well as being a fully approved Equestrian Centre, we also
train & keep horses and have a number of highly reputable
breeding stallions, where we carry out a full range of Stud
duties. The Centre also hosts many shows throughout the year,
horse & pony sales every month and car auctions every Wednesday
night. Wedding Carriages are a speciality and we have a choice
of an open or closed carriage for your special day.
At Claremorris Equestrian Centre you will find one of the few
saddlery shops West of the Shannon. We stock a varied range of
up-to-date products for horse and rider at competitive prices
including a full range of showjumps.
Established in 1980 by Cormac Hanley, home to international
riders Cameron & Carl Hanley, producer of riders, ponies and
horses who represented Ireland - a visit to the Centre is a
must.
